AhlulBayt News Agency - The Iraqi Army – backed by the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) – liberated several areas inside the strategic town of Al-Hit in the Al-‘Anbar Governorate on Saturday, killing a large number of terrorists from the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) in the process.
According to the Iraqi Defense Ministry, the Iraqi Army and their allies liberated the Al-Ma’murah and Al-Askari districts after a violent battle with the ISIS terrorists inside of Al-Hit.
As of now, the Iraqi Armed Forces control 40% of the town and will likely seize most of Al-Hit in the coming days.
